If you've played Poker before or have heard the Poker lingo, then you should feel right at home in this section. If not, then so much the better, because these terms are specific to Video Poker and will help ease your understanding.

Aces with a Kicker - Commonly used on Double Double Bonus Video Poker games, this term refers tofour Aces with a Deuce, Three or Four. It hasa higher payout than four Aces with any other card.

Cash Out - A button that allows a Player to cash out all his winnings.

Credits - The Video Poker Machine keeps track of the coins deposited and accumulated as winnings and displays them on the pay table. If a Player deposits $10 in a $0.25 machine, he will receive 40 credits.

Deuce - The 2 valued card.

Deuces Wild Video Poker - A Video Poker Game where Deuces are wild.

Draw - Replacement cards for those cards that a Player chooses not to hold after the cards are dealt.

Double Up - A Player can choose to double up his bet on a winning hand in the hopes of drawing a higher value card against the machine. Winnings are doubled if the Player is successful.

Jackpot - A bonus that is paid out when the highest hand such as a Royal Flush is dealt to a Player.

Jacks or Better - A Video Poker variant where a Pair of Jacks is the minimum winning hand. The average Payout Percentage on this game is about 99.5%

Pay Table - The number of credits a Player receives according to the hand drawn.

Payout - The amount of money a Player wins when he hits a specific hand

Progressive Jackpot - A Jackpot that increases as Players play. Several machines are linked together so that each bet at any of them increases the Progressive Jackpot.

Random Number Generator - A program used to generate a series of random numbers.

Royal Flush - A winning hand combination containing Ten, Jack, Queen, King, Ace all in the same suit, in any order across the screen. It is the highest hand in Video Poker that does not make use of Wild cards.

Wild Cards - A card used to substitute for any other card in the deck to make a winning combination.
